Zoo-Fari
What can be more fun
for a brand new
Tiger Cub and his
family than to go on
a Zoo-Fari? Fonnie
Galmiche, the
chairman of the
event announced at
the program preview
that the Southeast
Louisiana Council in
conjunction with the
Audubon Zoo is
preparing for our
first ever Council
wide Zoo-Fari on
September 29th. The
Zoo-Fari will be
open to all Cub
Scouts and their
families but is
especially geared as
a first activity for
new cub families who
have joined during
the Fall Roundup.
The cost of the
event will be $10
per person and will
include the
admission to the
zoo, a special Zoo-Fari
activity patch, and
cub activities sure
to brighten the eyes
of every Cub Scout.
(Zoo members fee
will be $5 per
person) Packs will
be encouraged to
purchase your
tickets in advance
in order to avoid
long lines Saturday
morning.
Print out the
information sheet
or wait for the
online registration
that will be
available before the
end of August. Zoo-Fari
is planned to
include the entire
Cub family including
siblings. Be sure to
mark your calendars,
get ready your pith
helmet, and be
prepared to have a
fun-filled Zoo-Fari
with your cubs!
