7:30 Cake Auction
This summary of this event since we'll all be new to it this year : Cub scouts bring cakes which are auctioned off to parents and the proceeds are used to purchase bulletproof vests for the police dept. Additionally, this year we're adding a mini Safety Fair to keep the kids busy learning while parents are bidding on cakes. Each den has been given a safety topic. At registration, each child will get a Safety Fair map - so they can visit each den's table, learn something about that topic, get a stamp/sticker certifying completion for their map, then return to the prize booth. We have allocated activities for each cub scout family; please confirm or let me know if you won't be there.

Awards will be given out for Cake Entries, in addition to Most $ Raised : Most Original Creation, Best Scout Theme, Best New Orleans Theme, Most Colorful, Most Patriotic, Most Disgusting, Most Pretty, Best Sports Theme, Best Harry Lee Theme, Most Likely Done by a Dad, Most Artistic. Have fun selecting your cake theme. All Kehoe-France students and parents and friends and family are welcome to attend to aid in this great cause and to visit the Safety Fair. Popcorn and soda will be served.

Last year, we raised $2,400 for the purchase of bullet-proof vests for the police department, in addition to showing the children how to get involved in their community and how to make a difference by planning an event to channel support/financial assistance to meet a special need.
